Maybe in the original scenario, Len only has his magic sword to depend on. As typical with cheat skill characters, his only path to grow stronger would be upgrading his existing cheat skill, which in this case means gathering powerful magic stones.

But in Len’s case, after learning the sword style, he’s already crazy strong with just the basic swords. Most of the fights are won with this technique rather than unlocking new swords. So he’s not as pressed to kill Licia because magic swords are not his only effective weapon.
