You have the right of it. However, she didn't die because of Len in the original, which might make a difference. It may be just me, but knowing that you are technically destined to kill the girl you love would put a damper on any relationship.

Destiny can get fucked. Also star crossed lovers are a deeply romanticized concept. I'm not sure I would really count it as a negative, when it is just as likely to be a motivation. I mean Len already wants to protect her and keep her safe.

Besides that, technically it wasn't stated that Len killed her, or did anything to bring about her death. The reveal was that he was holding her corpse in the game when the protagonist sees them, but the exact events were specifically left ambiguous. Other than that there are some other implications regarding his power and the fact she has a magic stone in her chest. However he has also been shown to be able to borrow her power while she is alive. So the normal rule of having to be the one to kill the one with the magic stone may not apply with her anyway.

The MC isn't really anymore the Len of the original script. How much has he changed history already, as well? It's entirely possible the original Len's reason to kill Lycia doesn't exist anymore. If it still does, then chance are it might not even be about killing her or not.

That is also true. However, rather than purely logical, I am looking at it from a matter of feelings, and I would personally feel like the entire situation is weird, hence why the other girl could have a hypothetical advantage: there is less possible emotional baggage on that front. Mind you, I do not expect that to happen in the slightest, it's just how I would feel in that situation.
