But isn't Pythagoras kinda simple? Just give them problems that need the formula for density, without giving the formula for density and voila! they're now brain dead!

Spelling error in the last text panel
"Once can only wander" is supposed to be "One can only wonder"
(this is just a tip! Not meant to be rude or anything, feel no pressure to fix it, I just wanted to point it out~)

Did I read that right? Were the bullies trying to extort nobility?
That's kinda dumb. First thing about extortion is to know your mark. You can't do that properly, you'll wind of dead.

Kids got off lucky Riheed defused the situation then ended it with a vague threat and demonstration.

@Noggin

Exam question #1: Are you more interested in the Magic Research Club activities or club member Aclines?

All new applicants: Prince Aclines!

Riheed: All applicants rejected.

I think he's honest enough to make it a possible test, since he was willing to take on a couple. He just made it a bit too difficult.

Tbh I'd guess he more or less picked things the current members could handle, but only them. So ten questions, one success is enough, but many questions are written in foreign languages and the answers might be considered state secrets or similarly hard to get by normally.

And in honor of Vacs, one of the questions is "practical exam, get me to drop my staff in a duel". XD

(And the tenth question from himself, that might well be something long lost - or just his true age.)

.

Although Kaarme's suggestion does have a nice ring to it. Maybe if the test was administered in a "zone of truth" or something to bring out the applicants true intention.
