I'm about to drop it and wait until it ends (10 years from now). Thanks for the TL.
I feel like the author has really made a hash of the story.
It's nowhere near as engaging as it was in the first couple volumes.
I feel they can't keep the story straight (heh) for whatever reason. The short chapters and the long time between them doesn't help either. Sudden lesbian bully is eating more and more page time for some ungodly reason while Kon, you know the other main character, is basically gone from the story. Thanks for the TL.

Still unclear if Kon was a real person or a projection of the monster, so her absence makes sense to me. The detail about structural color from this chapter lends some support to the latter along with what we learned about the monster's ability to take on a human form from the grandmother's story.I feel they can't keep the story straight (heh) for whatever reason. The fact this thing got a really nice animated PV, and now it got licensed in English, baffles me.
Sicking a bunch of researchers on that thing using actual material evidence is actually going to make that things life very difficult.Auntie suddenly turning into John Hammond from Jurassic Park was not what I expected.
Wait, that dude at the beginning wasn't her aunts husband?because the volume releases retcon out the uncle
Nope, he's retconned in the volume releases because the mangaka changed their mind about the character. The serialized releases offers no explanation, the uncle stops appearing and is replaced by the aunt. If I'm remembering correctly the aunt is also a lesbian, or at least heavily implied.Sicking a bunch of researchers on that thing using actual material evidence is actually going to make that things life very difficult.

As far as we know, the OG Uncle got retconned. The translations we get come from the magazine release. So, when we reached a chapter with the "new" aunt, the translator informed us that the uncle had been retconned in the volume release.Sicking a bunch of researchers on that thing using actual material evidence is actually going to make that things life very difficult.

The mangaka is fairly famous and has had manga made into anime before. Sankarea is the most famous I think. The fact this thing got a really nice animated PV, and now it got licensed in English, baffles me.
ACHTUNGA tale as old as time: lesbians driven insane by hole...
Even after all this, how is it not popular enough to be monthly or bi weekly at least?!!!The fact this thing got a really nice animate PV, and now it got licensed in English, baffles me.
Popularity has nothing to do with it. Manga are published whenever the magazine that publishes them drops. For this one, it started with three chapters per year. Now the magazine is published bimonthly, so we get six chapters per year.Even after all this, how is it not popular enough to be monthly or bi weekly at least?!!!
Nah. We get 6 HALF chapters per year.Popularity has nothing to do with it. Manga are published whenever the magazine that publishes them drops. For this one, it started with three chapters per year. Now the magazine is published bimonthly, so we get six chapters per year.
