Maybe I'm paranoid but something seems off about Silane. That creature near her doesn't seem to be visible to anyone but the MC since she hasn't introduced it and nobody has commented on it. Also, MC doesn't seem on guard against her as much as he is with Kato which seems strange. Then there's her calling the students "your kind" and "your kin" as if she doesn't have any common ancestry or racial connection to them despite others having been brought over in the past and having kids despite having other humans in her unit. That and as if her cultural upbringing has taught her that people from another world are a completely different species. Frankly I'm wondering if this is the proverbial honey trap to get people with good skills while things might go sour for the ones who don't, although whether it's immediate death, exile, slavery, or thrown to the curb won't be known until it happens.
