Yeah, we're finally getting to the central issue of the whole manga. Miyako's status as a former idol in hiding had to come to a head, as well as her tendency to blame herself for "complicating" Asako's personal life. All of it comes to the forefront with this situation. Interesting that it comes at a time when the two of them are planning their long-term futures together. I wonder how she'll handle it now and what Asako and her friends will have to do to help her along. In the end, this might be a blessing in disguise.

Fuck that paparazzi, what’s so wrong with them still being friends :bleh:
I feel like there must have been some kind of agreement that she negotiated for her leave. They might have wanted her to stay out of the public sphere, not impact the group any further, etc.

Moments like this remind me how disgusting the media can be. It really shouldn't be such a big deal, really, that she's still friends with her coworkers who she's known for a long time. But it is, for some reason, and because of that she can't meet up with old friends because some asshat decides this would drive clicks, nevermind how detrimental all this attention can be to somoene who just wants to live their lives.
Sorry for the mini-rant there, just exhausted with the current state of our world.

There was some sweet yuri this chapter though, so that makes up for it. As long as these two continue to be happy, I'll feel a happier too.

Well, looking at the last chapter this could have taken a worse narrative turn. It's still somewhat interesting. I just hope for more yuri.

fans/media sometimes can’t catch a break when it comes to (ex)idol’s privacy heh. they see them as entertain object than human, so when there’s a gap opening, it’s a profit for them to make it viral while not thinking about the person who got into the mess because of them.

also it seems like the ELM director wasn’t immediately rejecting that newsletter when media trying to post it. instead, calling Miyako again like… huh? why tho? is it wrong to get in contact with fellow friends even as ex-idol? it’d be funny if she decided to either ask her to rejoin or ask to don’t go near the ELM again after the sudden decision Miyako did.

Having an ex idol as a girlfriend and being weak to pretty faces is gonna get her in trouble. Lol. Also, it was only a matter of time when people find out she is still meeting with her idol friends, this manga is very laid back when it comes to conflicts and non are threatening to any of the characters relationships so far so this problem should go away in a chapter or two is my guess.

Right now ELM is trying to reestablish themselves with a new dynamic and pecking order. They are at their most flopable if fans don't accept however those changes shake out longterm. Having the media distracting fans with a former member either could be seen as bad business when ELM is trying to spin the news cycle a different way... or is something a shrewd manager might exploit somehow. We don't know the terms of her leaving to know what it might mean yet, but it's feeling ominous.

This better be about "legal" troubles (don't get caught by the media/make trouble for your old group etc.) and not the director acting like a jealous ex.
