The plot is kind of stupid;

• He knows that the Vampire is very strong
• Strong enough to destroy nations by herself
• He wants her to fight an army for his nation
• But he believes he can defeat her with just 3 adventurers
• He believes he can control her

Does this not seem very contradictory? She can fight an army for him, but is apparently weak enough to be defeated by him and 3 adventurers? C'mon now!

The previous chapter did elaborate that the royal family has forgotten about their promise with the True Ancestor. Then again, it's partially her own fault for not reminding them from time to time.
