I'll load the majority of the fault on the King and his cohorts, sure...But there is some blame to be had with his ancestors somewhere back in time when the concept of giving her due respect was broken and lost.

Yeah, in the first place, if the vampire can be captured by 3 S-rank adventurers, aren't they too weak to defeat a massive army for you singlehandedly?

One could argue that you need single-target strikes for an adventurer and area attacks for an army, but are there no S-ranks in the entire enemy army?

One could argue that you need single-target strikes for an adventurer and area attacks for an army, but are there no S-ranks in the entire enemy army?

S ranks are generally the sort of adventurers that can kill a nation if they wanted to (or at least deal with a nation ending Calamity monster) in these types of stories, so it’s actually surprisingly reasonable to hire them. The problem is they hid her power/history from them and thusly any reasonable assessment of how damn stupid an idea it was.

They really have no clue, I can't wait to see what you all think of the later chapters as I've read the raws, it gets fun! I have 1 more chapter to upload tonight and then I have to translate the rest, I try and aim for a chapter a day but I am new to scanlating and I have work to go back to on the 6th
