i laughed when he ate the serial rapist's mochi in front of him, but couldn't help feeling awful along side mc seeing body covered by the sheet. i feel no sympathy for him but seeing how someone can be alive n well one day and gone the next will always be unnerving. even the folks on death row still have to live unpredictable uncertainty of death. and even the prison guards have to deal with guilt of how their inmates final moments are. even tho they are surrounded by the lowest of the low, they often can't help feeling sympathy for their fellow man such a uniquely horrifying position even if self-inflicted.

i already know this manga is gonna destro me but i am excited to see their connection grow now that the man of the hour has arrived

I know Mc is a wimp and it’s for the story sake but feeling sorry for a serial rapist/killer?

Feeling uneasy that you are directly responsible for a person death ofc is normal psychology but feeling sorry for them after knowing their crime?
