edit: my comment was a bit unfair to him. He DID realise that her bringing the cake was almost certainly leading to disaster, so that's a good point for him. But it took him so long to reach that conclusion the cake was already dropped by then, so I'm only awarding half a point on that.

Yes, I also think the "someone behind me" thing was just him hiding his embarrassment or finding an excuse to not get sued.
