I'd like to point out that "Ale" in the English title is incorrect and probably the result of Google Translate/MTL.
The エール (Yell) means "yell of encouragement" or "cheering" which makes sense in this case, since no alcohol is involved whatsoever.

Given how ubiquitous these 'black companies' are in Japanese media, they're obviously a real issue in Japan - so why aren't they enforcing worker's rights and employment laws more strictly?
Given the population decline and ever lowering birth rate, and given that one of the biggest issues non-parents have stated for their hesitation in having children has consistently been work related (not just pay), why hasn't the Japanese government stepped up?
Do they just like the taste of big corpo's boot or something?

their culture is big on the whole "listen and obey your elder/higher-up" so it's hard to change, I think?

Assuming you said that sarcastically, but that ACTUALLY is pretty true (from my experience).
We had a few Japanese exchange students for our school every year, and their uniform's skirts were always crazy short.
So yeah, the stereotype is real there (unless it was all a Japanese psy-op).

i mean it's pretty much the same problem for every country that urbanize or industrialize
anime and manga industry itself are pretty much on that category, so if they want to fix they had to Lay-off bunch of people, slow down production (entertaiment,media,goods,etc), make general public dont mind with less consumption and increase price, spread the population to country side, make their country less urbanize, and so on

so whats your solution ? Japanese govt racking up more debt from IMF to patch the problem funding their program to incerease living standard temporarily, kneecap their production (anime,manga,etc which are one of their most profitable industry),increase the price for few sector because well they increase the salary so gotta compensate to make business profitable, spread their population and basically "go on, farm bois" and make their country less urbanize and increase their population?

i honestly don't know what's the solution at this point
