Last Chapter, I expect the backfire on the "Step-Bit-" to be more direct. But nope, the backfire is probably even worse/funnier, because she basically got used as indirect tool to teach low-rank Nobles, like she got treated as "You are no threat, but you can be a lil funny clown to be used by us to do something helpful for us unwillingly"
And at same time, she should be graceful that's the Underworld Uncle's plan, cause he already know she and her brother are no good, yet there's no benefit in eliminating them for now.

I kind of pity the twins. They are by no means good people but they could have been had they been raised in a better environment or been protected by their grandfather. Of course, politically speaking, the grandfather couldn’t do much for them publicly as any sort of help would be interpreted by ne’re-do-wells as them having a shot at the thrown which is the opposite of what he wants. I do hope the prince (of the mc’s kingdom) throws them a bone but at the same time I could totally see the twins ignoring him and going through with whatever harebrained scheme they come up with.
Read the spoiler from the LN at your own risk, but I expect the manga to take a lighter tone while following the similar approach at the end of this arc. The twins backstory will be fully revealed in time. But suffice to say, Serena will recognize their circumstances at the end of the arc, partially pitying them but also dealing with them as she deems necessary.
The twins' mother is a low-ranking mistress to the (former) crown prince of the foreign country, Shagard's father. Who threw away his original wife (Shagard's mother) for said mistress. Their mother was a gold digger who seduced a dumb prince to elevate her position. But because Shagard's grandfather raged at his son's incompetence for ruining a stabilizing political marriage, he disinherits the Shagard's father and instead elevates Shagard to crown prince as successor to placate the nobles of the country. The twins' father and mother, unable to become king and queen then forces all of their ambitions and cruelty onto the twins with other efforts to remove Shagard permanently. Thus the twins who knew naught but their parents' cruelty and dreams grew up with misguided ambitions while suffering the shame of being bastard/unwanted children. They were born without a say and raised to become tools of their parents. Their only crime being attempted usurpers of the crown.
