A comment about all Fantasy / Isekai stories.
The Guild System seem to me a bit unfinished. If you manage to become one of the strongest you will have to follow every emergency request. Can guild then not simply say this is a emergency but it pays only 1 copper or other such foul methodes. I see no other benefit besides the fame as a high rank guild member.

They obviously wouldn't demand them to head to every single emergency request all over the world (whether they would even have time if it's an emergency is another matter), but they would demand they attend to the emergency requests close enough.

That's not to say they aren't paid well for them, they just don't have a choice.

@Chuchlain This is the difference between employees and independent contractors. In a complete system at a certain rank you would become an employee of either the guild or of the government / military (depends on the scale of the guild in question), so that you could be stationed at an optimal location in a state of semi-permanent on call.

I would assume they would never try ans screw over an A or S rank simply because if they did, not only would they be making an enemy of an A or S ranked adventurer, but said adventurer would almost certainly leave that guild. That alone would deter almost any incoming new adventurers who are not absolutely desperate, and make every single person choose to max out at rank B.

Not to mention that the guild will completely ruin any trust they have earned with merchants, locals, nobels, etc. If an S rank leaves the guild because they were abusing their power, what new adventurer would want to sign up? What current adventurer would want to remain a part of that guild? No adventureres means equipment sales go way down. Drop of sales means many merchants wont stop by/set up shop to do business anymore. No business = no money. No money = no guild.

@Chuchlain I dont think it pays badly, tough if it did they would just leave and who's gonne stop them the other (A or S rank)advantures you pay badly?
i think its more in line of less Autonomy but you get some special bonusses ontop of the payout.
Also seeing as the rank up seems to happen with the permission of both party's (adventurer and quild) if the reward for actually doing it is to low no matter how famous you become only idiots would take it and most of those would be death by that point.

Think of it like this.

you don't have someone who failed at math do taxes
but you also don't have mathematicians doing taxes either because they have better things to do, but what they can do is also limited.
as far as the country/build is concerned, anyone can get up to b rank with training
once you get to A or above, you are now something that can't just be trained up, which now limits autonomy while greatly increasing profits.
