I read the novel and one thing that annoys me is that the author seems fully intent on shipping that adventurer with Shirley and man it just doesn't work or even feel right. Especially considering that adventurer is much closer in age to her daughters.

Read the translated ln chapters, but yeah, some of the settings written by the author are quite nonsensical. Like A rank adventurers or above being required to participate in quests ordered by the guild. Goes completely against the point of what an adventurer is.
