Also, even in the olden times, there was at least some forewarning given to someone losing their job unless it was the direct ruler(king, emperor, the queen, what have you) firing you in public or court, but they were more likely to have you killed for slighting them.
Also, the noble family is kinda shit for not letting her know about the acknowledgement of her sister taking over the engagement, you'd think that dealing with someone in a field where they deal with caustic and poisonous materials would be handled a lot more cautiously.

Gaahhhh!!! I want to curse so much!!!! This lovesick idiot!! Eventhough MC has evidence, he still accused her!! It's annoying standard manga storytelling: if you're going to have a character that has to show how super special awesome they are, they must do it by overcoming the most ridiculous amount of deck-stacked-against-them odds possible. It's not good enough to have one enemy or one significant obstacle or one defining flawed relationship or whatever. This is the distillation of basically every trope native to every "I'm OP but nobody knows" and "I work for a black organization and nobody knows I'm the one holding everything together" and "Everyone turned on me the moment it looked like I wasn't favored" type of story in existence.

Just about the only thing that was missing was the "sister" shooting smug looks at the main character when no one was watching just so that she (and we) would know that the sister was a malicious, conniving bitch the whole time who engineered this and hid behind a facade of saintly goodness. That's likely still the case here since she very obviously stole the MC's research (which is another issue in and of itself. As trite and repetitive as they are, I almost don't care too much about the thick-headed fiance not listening to reason except that in this case she has literal evidence that she's been set up and taken advantage of and he doesn't even find a way to blow it off or ignore it properly, he instead makes the fact that she has proof of the sister's deceit as terrible in and of itself. Unless that was clearer in the Japanese and it's just a translation issue) and it's such a non-factor that they might as well have not even mentioned it except that it's one more thing in the "when it rains, it pours" torrent of bad fortune that lazy authors heap upon their downtrodden characters just to make sure that the slower parts of the audience get that the MC is being unfairly piled on.

Because she was talked up as a prodigy even more talented than her sister (and she herself believed it) she was immediately given Amelia's workload and treatment. Given that she did not actually have even one iota of Amelia's experience and skills, she was quickly ground into a fine paste. As for Kaius, because he used his authority to replace Amelia with Rivera his reputation is in danger.

I suppose the next part is where the same people that screwed over the MC (or more specifically in this case, released her from an insanely toxic environment) frantically try to get MC back through one underhanded method after another and just spiral straight into Hell. Can't wait to see THAT part.

Right lol, like sure he obviously wasn't gonna listen but if you assumed he was anything but the worst trash, it'd be common sense to explain your very legitimate reasons.

The real question is why she even took bullshit from the other alchemists when they weren't her superiors at all, but I guess it's standard "go with the flow don't make enemies" japanese corporate stuff.

Hello dear writers and readers alike, may I interest you in the possibility of NOT RUSHING YOUR STORY AND ALIENATING YOUR AUDIENCE by making the social and economic fall of a character organic in any discernible way. First introduce your reader to the status quo, then introduce your first then second and later third “bad things” while leaving time enough in between for the reader to process and get accustomed. I usually don’t like pointless drama, but here it is necessary, the more the reader can understand and empathize with the main character, the more deserved will their eventual rise back will feel. It’s ok for certain moments to feel sudden or unexpected, but if it’s too sudden, you are going to derail the story.

And if for the love of all that is pure and beautiful you don’t have time, resources, experience or confidence to write this kind of buildup just write the story from any other point in time.
