Okay... This is definitely the superior translation compared to the other one, or at least easier to enjoy.

Thx for the quality translation

Since the story is set 200 years after this according to the novel making us feeling blue balled, I will put some detail on the betrayal background.

Lambert is a peasant becoming generals. He rose into general position because of the support from his friend who betray him and the king at the time. Those three are comrade.

The king have a secret though, he is the daughter of the last king impersonating as a man. Lambert and his friend knew about it ofc, but Lambert just don't care about that fact. Some nobles while doesn't know for sure, suspecting the king is actually a woman. So, behind the scenes they groomed Lambert to become a rebel leader without his knowing.

While the king knew its not true, the rumour already spread and she did what she gotta do as king. Dick move, but necessary.

Since I've read the translated WN...
*200 years later = Nah he's stronk as heck, he deffo realizes he's above the mobs.
*School arc - No school arc at all thus far, probably won't.
*Silent protag = He does talk some, but keeps quiet sometimes on the necessity of being, y'know, SKELETON MAN in regular town.
*Goofy side kick - there's a brief section of traveling with a bard, but not really otherwise.
*Women who only complain - Not really? the only major-ish female character didn't do any of this IIRC.
*Government issue harem - no harem at all thus far!
*random ass-pulls to solve the problem/save the day - Big sword solves most if not all problems he runs into.
*No god mode for MC - Sadly he is pretty god mode, that armor he has is SUPER OP for the times he's now in. Has one fight thus far that he could have lost if not for fighting ability.

I went ahead and read the novel for this I'm not really impressed so far
he saves a village and kills bandits then he goes into a labyrinth then he kills an evil noble and I just fell asleep from boredom at that point any one he wants get revenge on is dead so there's no real revenge thing to keep reading, at least the MC is not a pushover and will just kill anyone who tries to hurt him so if you like that go read it I guess but be warned every fucking enemy underestimates him to the point it's annoying at for me
