Turns out Aina didn't need to do any convincing, she just straight up infiltrated and betrayed the court mages with a single attack. Noel slaughtered the soldiers sent to deal with him, but I guess with this Gudal should know he's a threat unless he's a complete moron.
I don't expect Noel to do more than this, though. Any more and that would be out of character. It would please the readers who want him to be the morally upright Lawful Good hero out to save the day, but that's not what Noel is now.
