Was gonna include the meanings their names and how it relates to their character, but I'm really busy right now. I'll write them here
next week! lol
Irosaki Momoko (色咲桃子) &
Irosaki Aoko (色咲青子)
Their last name, Irosaki, can just mean "
colors blossoming."
For their first names, it could be a reference to kigo or "seasonal words" used in Japanese poetry.
Momo (桃,
peach) is a kigo for Autumn.
While I couldn't find anything that could point to Ao (青,
blue) being a kigo, it does have connotations of Spring or Summer.
Otonashi Iiko (音無唯々子)
The Otonashi (音無) in her name means
quiet or quite literally "
without sound." But Otonashii (大人しい) also means meek or obedient.
Iiko (唯々子) can mean "
only child," but Iiko (いい子) also means "
good kid" or "
good girl."
Rokkaku Enji (六角鉛司)
Rokkaku (六角) just means
hexagon.
The En in his name means
lead. It's the same En in
Enpitsu (鉛筆,
pencil), and
Kokuen (黒鉛,
graphite).
Sakurada Neon (桜田寧音)
Sakurada (桜田) just means
sakura/cherry and
rice field.
Neon (寧音) can just mean "
peaceful sound."
Takasugi Sunao (高杉直男)
Takasugi (高杉) just means "
tall cedar." But
takasugi (高過ぎ) also means "
too high" or "
too expensive."
Sunao (直男) is from
sunao (素直)'s second character, which can mean
straight,
upright, or
direct, and
otoko (男) or
male/
man.
Baba Ryuuji (馬場竜司)
Baba (馬場) means "
riding ground" or "
racecourse" for horses. It could also be referencing
Baba Shōhei.
I should also say that Baba (馬場) is just one character off from Baka (馬鹿,
idiot/
stupid).
The Ryuu (竜) in his name means
dragon
Negishi Yuu (根岸幽)
The Ne (根) in Negishi can mean
root, as in the "
root of a plant" or the "
root of all evil."
The Yuu (幽) in his name is the same character in
Yuurei (幽霊) or "
ghost/apparition." Negishi is part of the Occult club but this could also be referencing his similarities to Kitarou.
