One thing I find funny is that there are chocolates that aggressively market themselves as giri chocolate. 'Hey ladies, all the guys have seen this advertising too, so if you have to give giri that annoying guy (you know who we mean), and all the just dumb ones, won't get the wrong idea if you give them this.' Tirol and Black Thunder are two of the big ones.

that makes me think that there could be a messed up prank chocolate if you really wanna be passive aggressive and give them like anchovy/fish paste flavor or wasabi (although i'm sure some ppl might enjoy spicy chocolates). although i'd hope they'd be fairly cheap b/c be sucky if everyone in ur class expected chocolate and ur cheap. versus buying one pack and handing individual single pieces lol

Japan popularized women giving men chocolate on Valentine's Day, but it was the British Richard Cadbury (son of John Cadbury) who popularized the act of giving boxes of chocolate on Valentine's. Imagine if his dad's name was John Chocolate, that would've been insane.

I really wish valentine’s everywhere followed Japan. It would be better if there’s no chocolate thing in the first place but this is better.
