Yuzuchiri is one of my favorite mangaka with Ninja Shinobu being #1. This is great as well as well so far. Have to see whether a love interest gets introduced at some point for FMC. Most of his other series have that Romance tag.

What does "put in the power" etc mean? Something to do with sexual stamina apparently? Odd phrasing, can't tell if it's an error or Japanese idiom or misspelling or whatever else. God translation and localization are so complicated lol

It's gotten better as it's gone on, but I can't believe that Yuzuchiri's least creative series is his longest running. His art's leveled up a lot since the early days (almost 10 years ago) but the plotting and characterization's gone down.

Himeno-chan and Ninja Shinobu both deserved much longer runs. Unfortunately ecchi and harem rom-com manga with ecchi in them generally do better than more creative fare without those elements. Konbu Wakame's most recent work "So you weren't into me" being a prime example.

Failing manga suddenly being shifted to having harem rom-com aspects in order to salvage them (like with Kinato's Magic on Jump) and it sometimes even working also being a thing. While I don't mind this kind of stuff in moderation, I wish Japan would give more creative and less ecchi stuff a chance.

Because facts are, no matter how popular most things are in the west, it's a drop in the bucket compared to the Japanese sales. Which is why stuff I've personally financially supported and tried to raise awareness of have been axed. Alien Headbutt being the latest example of something that deserved better.

Edit: Just caught up to the latest chapter, and I was wrong. Sure this series is more ecchi than his earlier ones, but it gets better and better as it goes, and Yuzuchiri's able to sneak in more and more of his excellent character and scenario writing and fun romantic comedy. It's only mostly ecchi on the surface, there's real depth underneath, and I feel like it deserves more than a 7.8 rating. Now that he's gotten in the groove, and the character complexity and interaction's going up (but in a fun way, not an overcomplicated way) I'm cautiously optimistic about the future of this series.
