I actually do wish Toda did figure out Nakano’s powers on his own. He’s a smart guy, he’s always thinking about her, she’s pretty easy to read. It also would have been a much cooler reveal than the one we got.

maybe NOBEL was planning it and couldn’t get it to work or make sense so went for plan B. Maybe the idea of someone not in the loop reaching the conclusion that Nakano has psychic powers was too outlandish, who knows.

HOWEVER. I will say, Mana talking about the idea of people reading minds to the group might have played into the plotline if it happened.
