I know it's the most likely ending, but I really hate that it feels like the reason isn't being more comfortable being switched, but because they are afraid/tired of homophobia. Besides the possiblity of their gender identities conflicting with their new bodies, it's certain that they will end up being unstable about having to live a completely different person's life for them.
