Either the manga got axed brutally or the author completely lost interest due to how slowly they update this series and pulled the plug.

Damn, sucks regardless. This manga had potential.

Just finished that last chapter and yeah... it was pretty disappointing.

Turns out the protagonist had a conflict with his dad? Maybe I forgot about it since this manga started quite a while ago and went on long breaks. Nevertheless that conflict got wrapped in a several pages, basically offscreen. Then there were more pages of fan service and and it ended with And the Adventure Continues.

Anyway I agree with Late_Komei, it's one of those two possibilities.
