The fuck? Why did the mug disappear at the end? As far as I know, it has nothing to do with the 2 girl's paradox dilemma.

Did I miss something?
2 options
1. It’s just symbolic, deal with it.
2. It’s associated with her, (bought for her/reminds people of her) so as she disappears, things that are linked to her do too.

I'm 99% sure the mug disappearing is referencing to Schrödinger's cat to a degree. It happens once Miyato is no longer observing the object + I don't think it's a coincidence they're cat mugs.

edit: I'm also thinking that since other-worldly Miyato is an anomaly in this universe, when things aren't being interacted with by her or perceived, then the universe attempts to correct it. IE, this mug bought by Miyato never should've happened, so it disappears (or some sort of superposition). But I think the whole mug thing is just a stand-in for Miyato disapearing.

BUT why would she disappear? so he's forced to choose one an the other disappeared? Still that's something to consider

the rest standard romcom fare, waiting to see when realizing the big implication of the multiverse

I think this manga is using an idea from a sci-fi show I’ve watched before and altered how it works.

From Stargate SG-1, There’s a concept called entropic cascade failure. This happens when multiple versions of the same person are existing in the same reality. Eventually as time progresses, the non-native ones will suffer issues and eventually die as the host reality is actively rejecting them. This does not happen if said person was already dead and another version from another reality showed up. In this case it seems MC has to choose for some reason.

Now from how I’m seeing it. Author is using this, altered how it is employed and expanded it to also affect items relating to the Sui that doesn’t belong to this reality. Anything that she’s bought that will directly be linked as hers, will be forcibly deleted from the reality. Since reality itself is rejecting her existence.

Reality itself has basically only given him two options. Sui from the alternate reality disappears, not sure if this means she’s erased or ejected back to the alternate reality. Or, reality corrects the issue and kills off the Sui that belongs to this reality in order to allow the other Sui to exist. And if we’re following the earlier concept, it’s trying to erase the alternate Sui first.

Basically they both can’t exist in the same reality at the same time.

So by disappearing I assume it means it sends her back to her original reality, wouldn't that make it the objectively better choice then? Sure she doesn't get to live with the boy she loves but she can move on and still live the life she was supposed to live instead of the other girl that just dies

I think we're overthinking the mug thing pretty sure it just returns to the store and the entire transaction gets erased from history

edit: oh wait his mug is still there lmao maybe she bought the black one but he always had the white one

Translation is fine. There's only one mistake I noticed, on page 15. Panel 5 says "About that date the other". I assume it's meant to be "the other day".

Honestly, it's kind of cruel of the alternate reality version of her to stay here, knowing that only one of them can exist. She could have just let things go on naturally without even revealing herself to him, but now she's forced him to feel guilty about choosing one of them.

I guess because he's not dead anymore so a future she came to the past is no more. But author can't just make her disapear. Make it's a slow process for DRAMA of course.
