I can't have any expectations from This manga, no matter how much you want the reader's to pity the main character the maid's attitude doesn't make any sense, it feels like the author usually watchs high school shounen animes and just decided to make an isekai how is this a kingdom with nobles
Having no level is a good start. He got no game panel or confirmation that he is already improved stat-wise or skill-wise.
So I can really appreciate his resolve to improve for the heroine's sake without a quick visible results. When he's probably getting lost on where to start which is the easier moment to give up at that point.
I'm reading the novel right now.
From what I saw, the protag will take some flag from heroine that have a sad backstory in front of him, making him accumulate girls, but he is quite clear he is in a romantic relationship with only his fiancé from the start.
That could explain the confusion.
The others girls respect the fact that he is in a committed relationship and only seek friendship from the both of them.
Yes and no. Souma has many wives and a favorite, yes, but he does maintain a romantic relationship with his other wife.
Here it's more he has only one romantic relationship and the other girls are, at best, his friends and at worst, have an unrequired love for him. But the overall feeling about it is the same in both stories.
The wife Alexandra : the one and only love of our protagonist
The maid : has unrequired love for him, but won't put herself between him and Alexandra, she is also satisfied of her job by his side
The neighbor princess : As the deep friendship for both of them and enjoy both of their company
The saintess : Has unrequired love for him and scheme to steal the protagonist, but is also terrified of Alexandra
The paladin : She feels only friendship and respect for him, to another character later, she will say that him being around so many girls and staying faithful to Alexandra is the reason for her respect for him.
The robot waifu : has an unrequired love for him, but does compete with Alexandra
The catgirl : Like the maid, love him but is satisfied with her position in the group
The sequel heroine : has a deep love for meat, her feeling for him are unknown, but she views the protagonist as a base model for her own relationship, she won't settle for less than him.

Honestly, I'm the opposite of that other guy. I want Harem or not. I hate unrequited love and loser heroines.
If you're going to do pure love do pure love and don't introduce other heroines. If you're going to have a "harem" (a lot of different female heroines interested in the MC) then actually do an actual fucking harem.

I agree, I just explained why the novel didn't tag harem while mangadex did.
But yeah, I find it annoying too, in particular when the story is clear he only looks at one girl only. It's sad and upseting.
I could understand him having such a poor standing in the castle that he has a nickname like that, but the "villainous" part feels weird since we haven't seen hints of old Harold being a shit person.
It's still pretty wild to be surprised that there are consequences for mistreating a prince though.
A maid regardless of her status treating a royality like that is in risk to be fired, executed or worse. sold to a brothel or into slavery. Sure you might hate your prince but do not mistreat him ever. it WILL backfire.
Is it bad when I see an isekai MC say they were Japanese in the past life I just expect them to be an absolute pushover with little to no self-esteem or self-worth?
I mean even if he's the third prince surely you'd feel some hesitation in so openly mocking and belittling royalty no? Is there no concept of Les Majeste in this world?
Why is that heroin's maid outfit so unironically skimpy? Complete bare back, shoulders, and side boobs to the wasit down. A biki style cloth holding her breast with a boob window, not on top but between her boobs, while also only covering her arms with long gloves up to her biceps
Chat, I ain't just hory in thinking this maid outfit is actually that skimpy, right?
