I skimmed through the Chapter 1 raws with my non-existent understanding of Japanese not expecting much – I thought it would be generic battle shōnen slop – except... It's kind of stupidly funny?

It turned out to be a childhood friend rom-com disguised as a bog-standard battle shōnen. Like if Sukuna was the King of Kindness. Or, more accurately but less familiarly, if Chiyou from Kaedegami just shipped Kou and Huazi the entire time. Actually, that was an incredibly apt comparison... I honestly would read this for the dumb fun. Hopefully someone translates it.
