Anime skipped over some parts, this arc is covered better here (not to mention LN) just it takes time between chapters. Personally, got time, I'll wait till this adaptation will finish and head over to anime anyway.

It's an adaptation of LN, but actually better than anime.

By reading the comments, can tell already it skipped a LOT of fleshing out of a character, especially seeing how the whole misunderstanding made "Sara a bitch" for anime-only instead actually having a thing for Rudeus.

Yeah, the other adaptation is more of a spin-off to be honest, definitely less mature, does a lot of "artistic interpretation" that get a totally different meaning and skip whole lot of content, not to mention showing how harsh the world is in the story.

Even the slave purchase wasn't portrayed fully although it was one of most darker arcs in the enire adaptation.
