They may be a very racist country, but to be fair fair IIRC the anti-demon doctrine were made after many war against demons, which the most recent devasted all human's countries aside from a single one, created a magic to make undeads out of enemy soldiers as moral attacks, and even the demon's continent wasn't the demon's but the human's since the they live in the human world that were invaded by others race at some point in time.

@Someguy It most likely would have caused problems for the family. They'd be branded demon lovers and ostracized I'm sure.

Discrimination is such a terrible thing, but I do think the worst kind is spouting shit about a person to, in ear shot or even inaudible to the person whom they've never met or seen before. Gets even worse when they've never even met or seen a person from a group before and they hold stupid views. I can kinda understand those who have hatred to a group when all interactions with people from said group have been negative and the number of interactions is sizable, not like 5 people or so. Unfortunately discrimination is not a thing that will go away even if we were all the same race with the same hair colour type of hair and skin tone.

I don't know how Roxy puts up with it, especially the toll bullshit or when she shows kindness and they show nothing but hatred. She is a strong woman.
