I get where you're coming from, as I felt similarly when Guren no Yumiya lost to NGE in the first round, but it's just how it goes. Small voter bases/sample sizes can go either way.

My pfp is Guts, who has black (and some white) hair. I guess it could look dark blond from the lighting.

As a side note, I learned that "blond" is used when describing hair on guys, while "blonde" describes hair on girls. Doesn't matter in practice, but I just thought it was interesting.

Idk yet if I'll win this tournament. But if I do, I've decided to not submit any entries of my own in future tournaments that I hold, as I'm satisfied with just one win in my own tourneys. I'll still enter any hosted by Detective-san and others tho.

Well? We're still waiting. I was a good boy and even submitted 8 songs. And my compromise of an eight or sixteen song tourney still stands.

I think we put a halt on Tamerlane's character arc when traction ended in that thread, and that's the reason why he hasn't been posting here. That, or it was like we failed his sidequest or something. Surely those are the only possibilities, right???

@Rhaptopia @Kowairo11 I think one reason for some of the submissions is that these are also judged on visual presentation. Probably why something like Tank got so far in the tournament. Same for whatever that western-ish opening was, while Railgun got the boot in the first round. Personally, I don't consider them something I'd listen to. But apparently, these voters say otherwise. Also, another reason might be because people are withholding their other submissions for the next tournament.

Yeah, I'd say that the reason why some songs that are generally regarded as better than others lose is due to the relatively small number of voters.

But to be fair, if the voter count were too large, it would become a popularity contest. And while some of us do put effort into choosing what we vote for, there is always bias involved.

I guess the only way to actually know which song is the best would be to take a group of people who rate them extremely objectively, and then find which song has the highest average rating.
