I feel so bad for both of them. Especially the girl, I can relate so much to how she wants to get away from her mom.

I really feel sorry for this guy. I really don't see how this can end well for him. Especially with psycho helicopter mom in the picture.

They're similar actually, no wonder they're attracted to eachother.

He have a horrible life with everyone treating him like shit + others problems, she can't live a simple life because of her psycho mom.

Both of them would probably be dead if they didn't find the other.

Guys, guys hear me out!

I get that many of you get a lot of stranger danger, bad flags, tragic end imminent vibes from this manga, but I don't think it will end that way, moreover, while we will most definetly go through a shit-ton of heavy drama, I think this one will ultimately end in really uplifting way (well, bittersweet end at worst).

Nothing so far gave me feeling that things have to end badly, to the contrary, sometimes they looked bright for a minute. As for the JK and widower thingy, well, I think calling fbi on him is an overkill, considering what we have to deal with in most anime and manga. Not saying Japanese mindset doesn't need a few adjustments, maybe Im getting too used to it.

The way this manga was set up is the biggest indicator to me, both MCs have big personal problems, and manga is heading into the direction that tells me they'll simply have to help each other, they possibly complement each other. You can bet your ass, their relationship will get busted. Mom will be beating Kisaragi a lot after this one and attempt to destroy Kouskes life too. But when he (most likely) gets fired from his job, he'll be relased from that toxic enviroment and might even find a better job and breathe more freely. As for when his daughter finds out, well, she might throw a fit, run away, maybe she tries to live elsewhere out of frustration or she might talk it out with her friend and they will agree she will live separately. Or you know, they'll break up and move on like adults.
I really doubt jail is going to be involved in this one but some of the best stories in anime ended with Protagonist going to jail, in like a realy positive way
Like recently anime Sarazanmai or for the love of god, read true route of G-Senjou no Maou VN and bawl your eyes out

I see this as a very heavy drama manga with potentialy very uplifting and positive ending, lessons will be learnd, people will grow, life will move on kinda way, I can't emphatize with the lot here whining (up to chapter 15) on Kouske, like, I think that man has a bit more stress and problems in life than you do, cut him some slack, there aren't many simmilar protagonists in anime so this presentation is quite convincing to me, I read other manga for alpha chad sage virgin MCs.

@suhericoba i think age of consent starts from a very young age in japan, though its frowned upon by many. Its not illegal.

Consider:
-There is no indication it is a love hotel, so it could just be a regular hotel
-You can buy a room for someone and not sleep with them or just have them stay there on their own for a night
-If someone who is facing abuse asks you to help them get away, renting a hotel room for a night while things boil over isn't necessarily a bad thing

There are ways MC can resolve this without being predatory or wrong. MC probably will not have any sexual or questionable relations with her at the hotel.

Yeah this doesn't look tragic at all. It actually looks like it will end too happily for the readers' tastes.

She is running away from domestic abuse right now. Being middle-age man trying to separated her from her mother and look really bad socially, so left a child your know, and got help from, to be oppressive, harmed and potentially driven to suicide when you can help, with great cost. Choose your poison.

Well, she is not yet explicitly told him she was abused, but clues are out there and he recalled them.

It is possible to report to police, possibly safest way for him, but not for her. I don't know what social stigma that would give her, even in case it success. If it go wrong, probably a worst end.
