Oh lord we are right on the event horizon of this horror drama blackhole.

Lets not forget that one of the Romanised titles is, One of the great secrets of a femme fatale. Whether she wants to or not, she will cause the death of something.

Anyone else thinking that Kisaragi and Honma look too similar?

That is exactly my point - how ever you try to look at that (as the comments below try to agree with the daughter that's its immoral behavior from her father etc) the one to blame is totally a daughter - they both loss mother/wife but while father try to put their life together while mourning - she shut him off, and now have a gut to blame him? I meen, if it was my daughter, I would totally slap her, but, first of all, I would brake her rooms door and drag her out. But he was trying to be considerate, not to push her, and instead of some gratitude she making him a villain. Its freaking me out. I would understand it if she was 7 years old, but not at the high school , she past this innocent age when you can pretend not knowing what is adult life is, its exactly the age when you realize WHAT it's like.

I think a lot of people seem to forget that Mia is a teenager. Yes she has a shitty attitude and is wrong, but that's what teenagers are, hormone fueled ungrateful brats. I can't take myself to blame her, I was as shitty as her with my mom when my father die, but it's no use to put tje blame on either and I just hope they manage to reconnect in the end is all.
I'm just glad the father managed to finally get everything out, it's litterally the best route.

That credits page though, kek'd. Whats up with the full on mexican drama exploding, unless the daughter has some real daddy(?) issues and she is unstable it amazingly stupid how many assumptions she has made, even if they are right. The junior even explained why they were there. I hope based and daddypilled Ki-chan(the one working part-time I think) will dab to cringe and bluepilled Mi-chan and set her straight, and then his daughter will elope with the cool bad boy deliquent to take revenge on her father lmao the story writes itself.

"Why is she angry, this troubled girl who has just seen proof that her father has been repeatedly deceiving her and avoiding her even though he promised to be more honest and communicative with her? Why is she angry? I am shocked. Shocked, I say."

This is a lot of the comments here, and I can't wrap my head around this. Is it because you guys want to see Dad and Kii-chan get it on, and you're frustrated Miya is in the way? If that's the kind of content you're after, there's plenty of hentai doujins for you.

@Scytale Its mainly because most people see it as a "oh so now you care?" situation. the reality is he spent a year trying to get her out the room and she didnt give a fuck then. the dad could've tried harder but we see the story from his perspective and witness the hell of life sucking japanese work stopping him from doing so, she SHOULD be smart enough to realize the shit he grows through, but she doesnt see it like the viewer obviously will, where as we see the man is obviously falling apart

as for "repeatedly deveicing her" people dont really see that, cause we dont see from her perspective. and frankly that seems like a bit of an exaggeration. deceives implies he betrayed her or something, him going out with a girl doesnt do that at all. and (though i may be wrong) he only skipped out on like one or two "dinners" between the two of them. Now obviously him dating her "best friend" is a problem, but that still doesnt directly affect her in anyway, so he reaction feels a bit much (especially when she knows nothing about it, and is presuming the whole time). obviously he is seemingly going out with her "best friend" but do we ever get to see how close the two really are? do we ever see how much the daughter thinks of kisaragi as an amazing friend shes blessed about? are they really even "best friends?"

for one, i dont think miya knows anything about the shit her best friend goes through at home, and we established shes been locked up in her house for a whole year. have they talked much?
does miya care for kisaragi anywhere near as much as kisaragi cares for miya? does kisaragi even care? its hard to tell with her deceptive smile, their relationship is a bit of a mystery

Clearly neither the daughter or dad is completely in the right, and although the daughter has her reasons to be upset, we see from the dads perspectives, so obviously most things will feel justified. im sure if we saw from her perspective, most people would hate and thing the dad is creepy.

Dads are people too. This guy had every opportunity to be an actual scumbag and he didn't. Yet he still gets hated on by both his daughter and these comments. I don't get it.
