@jazz9 agreed with your view. I feel as if people have been reading too many mangas where the MC is the hero and where they can project themselves into him. This is a drama and psychological manga, most of the characters are going to be fucked up in the head. Admitting that the father is fucked up doesn't mean we don't like the manga.

@relic626 you can sympathize with the father's circumstances, but the fact that he's engaging in sexual activities (he's not fucking her, but it's still sexual activities) with a 16 years old girl makes him both a criminal and an immoral person in most parts of the world, Japan included. It doesn't mean the manga isn't a good one, it's a drama manga so having fucked up characters is to be expected. But if you end up normalizing the father's actions or saying that he isn't in the wrong then that means you would see absolutely no problem in a 40+ years old guy dating a 16 years old girl just because he's struggling in life. That's absolutely wrong however you look at it.
The JK isn't better either, tbh most people are fucked up in this manga. But if a minor comes to seduce you it's your duty as an adult to reject her. The father is definitely in the wrong.
