I ran across this manga on another site, and read a few chapters since the premise sounded interesting (guy is able to put stuff in his item box, sell it virtually for points, and use the points to buy modern stuff).

The art is atrocious. As individual pictures it looks fine; some of it is even good. But it does a horrendous job conveying action. There will be a bunch of pictures depicting combat, but you have no idea what's happening. I had to drop it because it hurt my head trying to decipher the story.

I’ll be real here, the story is already fucked why bother trading with people when apparently you can get anything and everything you want by converting rocks and trees into points. Why is bro carrying a knife. Grab a machine gun and use it, guns are literally point and shoot to an extent. You don’t need to be a marksman or trained in cqc to kill someone.

Another 4/10

Pretty much.
Zero tension, no reason to do anything he does, no reason to really read any of the text.

It'd have worked much better if the MC acted as a detached hermit/spirit, that gifts things to random people without thinking much about it, as he roams about with his cat.

I do wonder what the writer is thinking, already saying that there is 0 reason to care about anything, since the MC is overpowered in a way that allows him to get everything he wants and, written in the description, won't have any struggles and will likely only show off how superior he is to locals in the same business who will then also be evil or antagonistic and thus be valid for him to brutalize or belittle.

And given that the art seems shite anyways, there isn't even that to use.

Like, who is the audience for this? It doesn't seem like a financially sound decision to have let this go beyond the drafting stage and publish it.

Don't be fooled by the intriguing theme, because the more you read, the more your brain cells will dwindle.

The MC's trade skill allows him to sell stones, trees, and other items (not money) for points, which can then be converted into any item in the modern world. There's no need for him to be a trader, which would make him a target for those greedy for his unique goods.

Wouldn't it be nice if the MC used cheats for himself, considering the many trees and rocks that can be converted into unlimited points?
The author only forced the MC to do that for the sake of the plot with his waifu.

I am honestly not a fan of store systems that allow the MC to bring advanced technology over to a fantasy world. As long as he keeps the really advanced stuff like drones or guns to himself for his own personal use, and only sold them stuff like food or glass then its fine. and if he wanted to help the girl start a fire just give her some matches or a flint striker. but no, the Mc has to start given plastic items.

I think the art is fine and the action, when present, is fun. But there's soooooooooooooooo much pointless dialogue.

One chapter was literally just 30 pages of what both sides were planning to do.

7/10 currently.

I hate how all the side characters exist only to glaze the MC. They're only around to tell him how awesome he is and in scenes when he's not there they just tell each other how awesome he is.

I'm gonna go against every other comment here and say this is actually good. The criticism of the art for conveying action poorly is completely on point, but with how little actual action there is I don't think it matters much. It looks fine otherwise and the goofy faces the characters often make adds some charm. Also the complaints about the character getting a horrendously OP ability and doing nothing with it feel a bit misplaced, because that's the MC having a huge skill issue. You know, a character flaw, something good characters have, and it makes for a more interesting story when he isn't rolling along easy street the way you'd expect from the premise.

For sure this is a dumb power fantasy, but it rarely feels like it's just sucking the MC off the way a lot of isekai power fantasies do, the characters have at least a little personality, and there's some actual intrigue and plot slowly building in the background. It's nothing special, but it's a good time, and I'd say is being underrated. I've seen stuff rated in the mid to upper 8s with notably less going for them than this. If you have high standards for your isekai it's not going to meet them, but I don't see how anyone with high standards would still be reading isekai at this point when 95% of series won't meet them.

The way I could simmarize this is: Everything is a plot device. Everything is just as the plot needs it, everyone is just as dumb, smart or anything else as the plot needs it (for god's sake we didnt even see Mc use his abilty fully since the very first few chapters). This also includes the Mc, instead of the MC navigating the rules of the world, the rules of the world navigate the MC, while he navigates the plot devices. Sometimes he is extremely observant and smart, two pages (not even CHAPTERS) later he is as dumb as a collection of rocks, and that sounds like an insult to rocks.
The slapstick humor is pretty good on the short term but gets pretty old, basically the formula is: Mc does something waaaay out of common sense for serious reasons (like helping poor folk with selling/giving them matches) - Gets scolded because it is basically a death trap for him and the whole economy as it makes no sense - apologizes - three pages later it truns out he had a masterplan all along, like baiting out criminals with this - turns out he stull f*cked up and gets scolded again (he is also a dumbass except that one plan he had while doing it, so he genuinely has zero common sense too - rinse and repeat, acttually dont even rinse just repeat, it just stinks (especially because its fuelled by this dichtomy of both the MC and characters switching between Light Yagami and a crackhead behind a 7-11 in intelligence levels in the same chapters).
Still it is strangely entertaining, but it is the true definition of "this is slop", below average.
Also the author seems to have as much idea about their own rules and all other rules (like actual swordmanship, how guns work etc) as we, the readers. Which is zero.
The only upside tho, is that (minor spoilers)

the MC has a blickey in his pocket, which was way funnier than it should have been in that situation, altough it was also f*cked up by the author.

I don't fully understand the hate on this manga. If I'm remembering correctly, MC is 22 and has graduated college. He also didn't seem to have any friends or family before isekai. That means this guy went to school, then went to school, then isekaid. If I were to randomly isekai, I dont think I would think as well as this guy does. The only life experience he seems to have is school, yet he still does pretty good. And for the people wondering why he doesn't abuse his power, maybe it's because he has some sense of morality. He probably doesn't want to f*ck over his relationship with the person around him. He seems to want to help people in need. He seems to want to keep the economy stable as best he can while improving other people's lives. I feel like that is pretty easy to understand.
And for people dogging on the art, I think it's good, or at least good enough for this kind of story. It fits well with this level of tension.
