I should've mentioned this in the other chapter but I forgot sooooo
I think the reason lian had red eyeliner after losing his memories is because yuelao had woken up so a trace of him was on lianlian. The red eyeliner then went away when yuelao was drifting off to sleep as lianlian reclaimed his body once more.
Hopefully that made sense
