So the girl was probably getting harassed or bullied and our boy probably beat up the bullies (but when it came to defending him, the girl probably didn't appear to defend him) hence he got kicked for being the aggressor, we've seen this happen tons of time. The girl felt guilty and is coming back for apologies or bringing him back?

Confused about the parents tho, thought they might lecture them on that not being possible but their reactions this chapter were vastly different. Or did mom have a talk with her but not shown yet since just the next day.

Yessss, new chapter finally. Thank you so much for providing me with a new dose of this wonderful series.

Honestly, I do not want whatever Nozomu did to ever be revealed, as whatever the author comes up with, will never live up to whatever wild theories each one of you have cooked up in your degenerate minds. And it will invariably be disappointing, nonsensical and contrived.

It should forever remain a 'noodle incident', always this event that was important, big and dramatic, but never truly explained.

Whatever Nozomu did, does not matter, it was just the MacGuffin for the series, we're not here for it and we shouldn't care about it. We're here for the charming genki girl that is Sou and the way she expresses herself and her affection by being all cute and clingy.

This is all moot however, as Inuchiku is not reading these comments.

I legit am traumatized by longer running series revealing their super-deep-emotional-heavy-mysterious and highly-complex secrets... and like 5 out of 5 in the past ~2 months have been the most flat mental gymnastic asspull low impact lame ass dogshit obvious mundane thing ever (Aitsu no Kanojo, Kanokari, Oyasumi Fumi-san just to name a few)

Ngl, Ima rate this a 10 if the author puts anything better on paper than all of these bums

Imma need spoilers about those "fails". Especially the Akitsu one - was reading it, MD stopped updating at like chapter 60 and at that point there was no explanation yet - and I didn't bother looking for it on other sites if it updates there or something.

EDIT: After reading this chapter and seeing how dense MC can kinda be - plus the thing with his dad saying Sou is good for him.

My theory is that the train girl has or had a crush on MC, but she wasn't honest/straightforward like Sou is - and somehow a situation happened where MC was blamed for something like hurting a girl cause she indirectly confessed, he brushed it off cause dense motherfucker, she cried and her friends/other girls/classmates thought he did something to her, she didn't tell the truth or was confused herself - and misunderstandings gone to the point MC was expelled "to safe school face" like its so common in Japan.

And now she is going to MC to apologise/see if MC is OK - after she realised that it was all a BS thing probably caused by her own fault.

Alternatively she has a scar/something on her face with the way her face was drawn in this chapter - cause she was hurt in some accident - MC was blamed but wasn't really at fault - he got expelled and truth somehow came out so now she and her parents are going to visit to apologise?

Yeeesh Nozomu, that was really awkward of you.
To be honest I hadn't realized just how badly his self steem is shot.
Sou's reaction is adorable: "No one badmouths my man, not even himself!"

Seriously WHAT THE FUCK DID HE DO THAT WAS SO BAD!?

The reveal better be worth all this narrative secrecy.
I'd rather it not be revealed at all.
But that last panel implies we're getting some explanations.

I hate having to say you're right but you are.

Case in point; I was reading "Hope you're happy Lemon" and enjoying it quite a bit.

Then we got the big reveal and it was just a convoluted, forced, idiotic and nonsensical explanation.

Remember, grandpa is not against the relationship between Shou-chan and Nozomu-kun and he was grinning when Sou-chan was confessing.

Sou-chan's mom is worried about their relationship, yes, but seems to me atm is more about they are too young more than about being cousins, like in the chapter when Nozomu-kun sleeps in Sou-chan's room because that typhoon.

Nozomu-kun is not that dense, remember he thought Sou-chan like him but discarded that because he thought she was talking in a filial way because he still see she as a kid and as a cousin.

Don't think he was expelled from his former school, because his friends are stating he is transferred, and whatever happened is a) not big enough from a third party view b) big enough to call for a *we will cover all of it " from the school and all the adults relatives of the kids related to the event.

Don't know if it's really the intention of the mangaka, but some panel across all the manga shows Nozomu-kun going to say or do something and then stoping, like someone who used to act/meddle before thinking but now stoped acting like that because some traumatic event. Btw, there is a panel of Nozomu-kun thinking about the event showing him in his school uniform in the background looking startled at the foreground were we can only see the back of a head (with, maybe, long hair).

I wonder who are coming to see him all the way to the sticks, I suppose is weekend because school,
We only see the girl and the speech bubbles of the others, who I think are the 3 male friends of him. Yeah, calling him Non-chan may sound coming from a girl, but that's the way they call him as shown before, I only hope that group have an adult with them, because letting kids do that long traveling unsupervised seems irresponsible from their parents.

Maybe he banged everyone at his school and had loads of kids... and his parents sent him away to escape paying child support... and he's traumatized in knowing that if he gets too close to anyone, they'll get pregnant and he'll have to run away again.

  1. Way too sudden
  2. Way too random
  3. Way too fast
  4. Wtf
Nah, spur of the moment blurting stuff out is kinda realistic and in line with the character. Plus in the last like 15 chapters she has been coming to terms with her "child brain" romantic feelings. It's not that "fast/sudden/random"

Confessions being heard OVER fireworks is just so cathartic, even though they're starting to be more widespread. Every time I see the old trope happening I instantly want to just drop a series right there.
