Honestly for Xiaoen I get it. He is a constant reminder of how she was rejected at birth for something she could never control and now her brother comes to her to use her at his convenience? He never tries to comfort her, he can't because he's not there, he only runs to her when he feels like it.
On top of that his issues remind her of how terrible her birth parents are and part of her is going to want to not be reminded of that/worry about being like that.
So I get why she doesn't want him there in this moment where she feels down.

thing is... she's also tragically wrong about this. Xiaoyang is "using her at his convenience" because the situation at his home is so bad. He never tried to comfort her (on screen) because he's a kid who's ten years younger than she is, and their relationship is clearly not one of equals. She sees her own trauma about abandonment in him, and instead of recognizing that the patriarchal "desire for a son" from their biomom has traumatized them both (and probably Xiaoyang to a greater degree), she lashes out at him because he's close by and vulnerable.

These two right here sum up both sides.of the pain in this arc so well. I just wanted to say that cause I saw someone earlier saying they didn't get it. Both of these two have been traumatized for different reasons by the same person, and both are trying to deal with it in their own ways.

Tough chapters but really good chapters. The siblings have been through so much trauma and handle it in their own, often destructive, ways (with some collateral damage).
....well what can I say?
As long as it's not "your welcome," I'll accept anything.

I feel this will have 50/50 chances of causing heavy drama between Xiaoen and Xingyuan, at least I don't think Xinguyan will agree with what she's doing to Xiaoyang, so she'll probably invite him to her home depending on how things go next chapter

Well that's not a healthy way to deal with your generational trauma. While I understand where everyone is coming from, I think they're both dealing with it poorly. And for Mu Xiaoen it's likely to backfire; Both her brother and her girlfriend have experienced the same mistreatment by their parents. Mistreating her brother for it is going to sting for Xingyuan, too.

Hoping it becomes a teachable moment instead of a drawn out fight!

Oof that hurt so bad to read, mu xiaoen's pain is understandable since she got discarded at birth but she's directing her hatred at the wrong person

I know it's wrong for Xiaoen to vent her anger to Xiao-Yaang but who are to judge if we're not in her shoes. We have different personalities, difference on handling pain and she's not ready to forgive and realize everything she needs.

The boy needs to grow up, his "big sister" has too much mainly her bio parents' abandoned her and took him in for wanting a son. He needs to understand that he can't just show up to Xiaoen and cause trouble that makes her remember all the pain she had.

I'm definitely reading this as close to confirmation that Xiaoyang is probably trans, definitely stuck under the patriarchal pressures especially prevalent in China of first-born sons, sons being heirs and so on; their parents already gave up one child for being a girl.

To me it feels that Xiaoen was likely one of the only supports Xiaoyang has ever had regarding their identity, so her being more serious with her 'I hate you' line sure has to hit hard for someone already running away from home for fear of prejudice and rejection..

I wonder if, as a compromise, they'll have Xiaoyen move in with Xingyuan and Xiaoen go back to her parents? It solves the issue of Xiaoyen bothering Xiaoen and her parents but lets them stay away from home, esp with how Xingyuan seems to be getting along pretty well with them, and particularly considering Xingyuan's own history of problems caused by her identity.
