I generally get how this goes and understand the process but working on a lot of series isn't a very persuasive reason for a weekly released property to be released months at a time. It feels like working on fewer properties is the solution so those can release more timely, no? This was a weekly released and popular series. Am I being unreasonable for thinking that way?

It depends, sometimes each series has its own translator, while everything else is done by the same people, so it might be that My Dearest Nemesis translator is too busy with real life.

At least that's how many groups do various series at once.

Possibly, although where would that be communicated? I just can understand the anxiety some might have especially around Korean and Chinese series, which tend to see sporadic releases months apart, if even that close, for series that are weekly. It can make the "wait and see" thing feel a bit stretched. That's generally why I see more support for situations like this with these types of series compared to manga.

That's fair, I just feel people are being way too quick to call it dropped when Office Lady Officers consistently released monthly chapter the entire series, especially because the chapter was seemingly uploaded on Dynasty but taken down, which makes me wonder if it was an accident because it wasn't complete yet or it had a mistake, which means in a few days it might get uploaded here.

Yeah, that's my biggest issue with this, there's dozens or even hundreds of abandoned yuri to work with, so why choose two series that are being consistently translated for a long time?

Miss Angel and Miss Devil is perfect example of that, abandoned for 6 fucking years by now, why not do that one instead?

Well for this one, they were asked by a few people on Reddit. I saw those requests a while ago. That's part of what I mean about the anxiety. I think I've seen people ask about this series because it was very popular while it was out and people know it's been completed for a long while, so they feel behind.

And don't get me started on Miss Angel and Miss Devil. It's easily the longest running GL series I've seen. A favorite of mine, released weekly (new episode today!) and it gets treated like dirt. I follow it on my own but it barely gets talked about in English and I truly believe that's because of how odd it's TL situation has been for years. You don't get many super long running, girls love series with angels, demons, multiple couples, battles, long story lines etc. I beg someone to pick that up.

Unfortunately generally it's not just some quality that is lost in cases like this, I still feel some are being dramatic because it's not months between chapters, it was literally a chapter per month without fail, so I feel people are overreacting that it's been 2 months since last update.

No it's normal to feel that way, but at the end of the day it's the translator who choose, and when no one else does, they are alone and needs more time when they start new ones, i'm not saying the new one should fuck off, quite the contrary, but here we don't even know if it's a snipe or if they agreed to it

It was clearly a snipe, otherwise it would have been mentioned they got permission from original group

Also sniping discourages the original longtime group from continuing while the sniper often gets bored after a few chapters because it is hard work and then nobody is doing it after they ghost. We’ve all seen this pattern before…

That is understandable, my main issue is less with people not knowing and more with how some considered it dropped so quickly, 2 months is nothing between some releases if a chapter takes extra work or group is busy with real life, it's not without reason 6 months is the accepted norm
