I'm thinking Justus used up game Harold because he was a little shithead. But he was inspired by the rationale behind the actions of this new Harold, and is genuinely trying to help him.

As long as I can understand it, it's good enough for me.

Also big bro Ayato Itsuki is really shipping him with his sister Ayaka Erika. What a great brother.

i was wondering why he'd voluntarily use a sword that kills him when he's trying to avoid death but now i get it. He didn't think it was that bad

I really hope this "there's only my soul in this body but unexplicably I act like a moron" trope dies as fast as it came, it's so boring and infuriating to witness
Well, there's two souls in his body, his own and the original Harold, so the rest of your comment is basically moot.

The whole manga is ”I am a strong and independent edgy anti hero” get tossed around
See the thing is the guy who's controlling Harold feels like a pushover
While Harold is the opposite and auto interpreting it in a way "Harold would do it"

are light novels that interesting? I always wondered why people are so crazy about it with zero visual feedback and just text
There's not "zero" visual feedback, but it's more that they do have picture. That said, the appeal comes from that the books have more information than the manga. Character internal thoughts scenes explained out better. It's a novel just shorter, so if you don't like reading novels you won't like light novels.

I had a feeling this chapter; that maybe Justus is in the same situation as Harold. Just a normal guy stuck in an awful characters body, with the same backstory as Harold (The Isekai'd trope)
but i dont think he got isekaied but maybe something than influence them both justus and vincent that it is still hidden?

I think you guys are forgetting the reason Harold got in trouble in the first place. He wore the enemy's uniform and attacked to interrupt the assault on the stellar tribe.

Who knows about this, and who issued the attack in the first place?

but basically you have the imaginary scene playing in your mind. and create your own version of said character based on how the writer portray it to you. and generally LN have the perspective of a characters mind. so we hear inner dialog's and their thought process that for a manga you need to use drawing for, and for anime, the VA needs to portray emotion in their words for.

a good example is from ''when supernatural battles becomes common ground'' the scene where where the white haired one cries. in text, we have a block of text filled with her lament and insecurities. in anime we have her face in tears and quivering voice portraying all those words.

Why does Harold play along with Justus BS?
His current plan seems to be carefully arrange for everything to happen like it does in the game. Which is a tough ask with a high chance of Harold being implicated as an accomplice of Justus, which would probably get him executed in the end. He did work for him for years, and did plant at least one device which will cause issues later on.

So, hear me out on this, why not just assassinate the dude? From the story so far, all of the issues in this story world appear to be caused by Justus. He has enough goodwill with Erika's family that they might even help him with it.

Why would you be willing to play mind-games with a genius for a small chance to get what you want when you can just flip the board for an arguably similar or better chance of a better outcome (Nothing bad happened yet) with much less risk involved?
