btw, im pretty sure there was a 'compelling force' making so that everyone remembers illya differently and worse than she actually was, like im sure marge remembered wrong and was sure ILLYA was the one to make her go away and not the other way around, the mother is SURE she INDEED spoiled illya as a child etc.
just like soleil, or whatever was the mf of a fiance's name, seem like he was 'compelled' to feel disgusted at the sight of illya in previous chapters

if my theory is proved correct, i oc still dont give a fuck and wont forgive any of them lol

oh like ruby in the beginning of "how to get my husband on my side" regarding izek? thats an interesting theory, but the distortion can only go as far as misinterpreting facial expressions and speech, the abuse and shittiness of those ppl is blatant, especially soleil
as for the family, she has your regular 'second born kid' syndrome although she's only the eldest, mainly because the sis is sick and spoiled

btw it was clearly hinted at that there were some forces at work that made (at least) soleil behave differently than what he would have if he were in his normal state of mind
so yeah there might be some unreliability regarding the fact that we're reading from illya's pov, but thats not all there is to it!
which is why i wont forgive any of them lol i wanna see BLOOD AND REGRET dammit
and our poor illya being finally happy oc ^^

Soleil is definitely a dick, that much is consistent across timelines (even timelines where she’s innocent; Soleil ends up cheating on her). But I question whether her parents were genuinely neglectful, and/or if that was out of spite or having a “favourite child”, or whether it was more just that they didn’t realise. At all times, MC has put up a front of competence so it’s not unreasonable to me for the parents to end up thinking “she’s probably fine”. That whole bit with the gifts seemed like textbook overthinking.

but there might be an issue with memories! what the maid said about how she didnt "remember" illya being like this is quite odd imo... pretty sure theres someone or something messing with the memories or the perception of factual events? idk time will tell
btw, tbh, seems like soleil is a good guy but he is controlled or whatnot by a compelling force of some sort which we do not know about yet (not a spoiler, mere theory)
well, thats not a reason to not hate him anyway

And I already said it once: I'm going to be so fucking heated if the twist here ends up being that she's a villainess in a video game and the reason she keeps reliving all of this is because the player is replaying a save where they fucked up and can't figure out what flags they fucked up
