They might, actually not do anything because they already have a bias against her. The dad is more inclined to believe the mother and dismiss her accusations as a way to get her self out a theft she did out of jealousy against her sister or as just ramblings.

Nah, lil sis is just socially blind. It comes with being isolated in a bed with very limited interaction with people.

Her being an unwitting pawn of the mother makes a twisted kind of sense. By being sick, it ensures lil sis would never properly learn of the outside world, which in turn gives her parents full control of her understanding of the world.

It takes intent to consistently inconvenience someone the way Illya has been, and Sylvia does not have the attitude for that.

Willingly homewrecking your older sister is malicious no matter how protected you are, especially when IIllya puts a lot of effort into being close to her little sister in some cycles and she still willingly ruins her life. There is also aspects like how she acts when her fiancée completely belittles her in front of her younger sister. Illya was found in a whore house, dying, saved by her guard and brought back, she is laying in bed about to die and Sylvia acts concerned but when Illya's Fiancée starts being a piece of shit towards her, Sylvia says nothing, has no care for her dying sister and the horrible things being said to her, she just lets Illya's Fiancée put her down in the worst possible way.

Thinking that this isnt fucked up worse than anything any other character has done to Illya is just plain wrong.
