Yeah, no, Ares is too far off the deep end, and planning sexual assault against his own party.
He already doesn't care about fighting, it's just a means to get the others somewhere secluded right now. He would've attempted something already if it weren't for the house being a unique monster. He wasn't thinking two steps ahead if he thought he could do that and not have to explain why his party wants nothing to do with him any more.

Even without knowing what Ares was planning, the MC is totally justified in thinking Ares would absolutely be an even worse scumbag.
That was proven that he would use and discard people on a whim when this first started, of he knew about MCs skill he would demand to have it used constantly so he wouldn't need to lift a finger but get all the praise. People with ego issues like him cannot ever be trusted with something that could be taken as a shortcut.

The skill is automatic, if MC was in his party it would always be on anyway. MC is either with them, and the skill applies automatically, or he isn't, and the skill doesn't apply at all.
The rest of what you said brought up the possibility that perhaps MC thinks Ares wouldn't allow him on the team at all if he knew. Hating him for undercutting every victory he has wouldn't be too out of character from what we've seen. He does, as you say, have a hell of an ego problem. It's possible the only reason Ares let him in the party at all was that he was convinced he wasn't contributing outside of being a luggage handler, and doesnt respect women enough to believe they were a significant contribution other than for him to lust over. (Yes, despite the evidence to the contrary. He's not rational.)
Basically, the author has made an irredeemable would-be rapist who cant handle even the slightest threat to his dominance "the hero," and now is trying to make a contrived reason that attractive women and the OP viewpoint character work with him, when we currently dont really have a given reason that the demon king would be immune to dying of debuff like everyone else. Anything the Saint believes could just be propaganda to prop up the church, after all, since it's a "holy" sword that must be used to defeat the demon king.

Yeah, he'd stop fighting, and is that a bad thing? He was worthless scum that kicks people from the party willy-nilly to begin with, so him being the one discarded as the baggage he is fitting.
So... we just need him to deliver the final blow, then we just carry him, all tied up... when the demon lord is on his last breath, we bring the dude push him while he pushes the sword and we are done.
I kind of want all of them to go inside... let´s be honest, we kind of just want to see what this waste of a hero is dreaming about (the girls where fun and all but they don´t matter in this particular case)... I kind of want to see how the nightmare faery reacts to whatever the hero dreams about

The MC is right that if Ares know of the the MC’s skill, he would stop fighting. If you’re asking why?
Because of Automated debuff. Ares would see that, put the MC in the frontline, and have his skill be automatically activate, and let’s remember what
Automated Debuff does, it weakens you body to such an extreme that your body can’t handle it, and begins shutting down, it also can blind you, take your hearing, it will do anything and everything to take your life if you don’t surrender.
In Laymans term it can and will kill you if you are an enemy against the MC the only way to life is to surrender.
Ares would see that put the MC in the front lines would see how weak the enemy gets, then take the kill and take all the credit while acting as if he did everything, and everyone would believe him because he’s the hero. Why would the hero lie? And let’s not forget that a lot of people don’t know that the MC is a….. I think it was a triple S rank hunter, very minimum S rank.
MOST people would just see him and know him as the porter. No one would know it was really him, unless they knew him. So who would the people believe the hero who is going to kill the demon lord or the MC who is the porter.
So I think the MC is valid in not telling Ares his skill.

Two he would take full advantage of it.
But they have no way to manage or control him which they need to do. He won't let the MC back into the party without knowing, and will likely attack the MC as well and end up dead, which again they need the skill.
They need ether a mind control or some form of enslavement, or they need some way to transfer the ability.

Please oh please keep the secret of the skill I keep discussing with people and fully know how it operates because I don't know how it operates but also it would fix issues if we would just talk shit out but I don't want to talk shit out, and we know the Hero is an absolute scumbag to the point where we not only have to coerce him but we are actively discussing how we need to force him to fight, but please don't make him understand that I am a key member that would be crucial to achieving our goal as soon as possible so that we can then remove our need to ensure the Hero is capable of moving towards the end goal without repercussions because we are so afraid of speedrunning the solution since that would rapidly eliminate the drama that comes from an arrogant Hero that cannot face public and political repercussions because of the threat that we keep saying only he can resolve despite the fact that without me he is such a weakling that he can't even handle mid-game mobs.
Please, he'll stop fighting if we tell him, the author needs to keep the threat of this idiot alive as long as he can because we need him to be that active constant threat.

Aside from plot contrivance, I doubt he'd be able to remove Ares from his dream. It's obviously going to be a typical harem-king thing. Someone as narcissistic as he is won't leave such a perfectly tailored dreamscape.
Hopefully, but unlikely, Slad will be forced to leave him trapped in a prison of his own desire. Thus beginning the real plot of "finding a replacement hero". One can... dream.

Why exactly does she have to be a caster in this situation? She could easily be either specialization. Hell, if your empire's troops aren't up to par, which it seems to be the case here, it would be better for her to go into a combatant role. She can one shot literally anything that can die. That's invaluable.

That's the problem with the kind of stories where the plot depends on the demon king being immune to all damage other than the hero's power. I take it there is no way for them to simply confine the demon king or something? Is he that powerful? And if he is so, why isn't he actively trying to find and destroy the hero before he becomes strong enough to stop him? These damn hero/demon lord premises are such failures in story telling from the get go, it's hard to take them seriously when the author keeps that theme in the forefront. On another note, if the hero is such a disgusting pig of a person, can't it stand to reason the demon lord could be convinced to stop destroying the world? I mean, we're using stereotypes and cliches here, so why is that the ONLY cliche not being followed is "the hero is a righteous and just person who is good at heart?" Doesn't it stand to reason that the demon lord is not necessarily all evil then?
