This has been just this for 2 chapters, and I'm not a fan of that

I’m fine with it in this case since Lin needs a serious attitude adjustment and it’s clear the director doesn’t see the new girl that way at all

What is with these freakouts in threads about yuri whenever the characters' relationships face challenges in the story? You're acting like it's already doomed.

Lu confessed her feelings and never heard anything back from Lin. Lu heard a story about how Lin's followed her, but nothing about her actually reciprocating her feelings. Lu also plainly said she wants to focus on being nicer to her teammates, and that's what she's doing. Lin has not been straightforward about much of anything, and it's clear that Lu doesn't understand the mixed signals. I'm not seeing anything lazy about this development, it's a pretty natural continuation of everything so far.

Not really. It's fine storytelling. She heard the story about Lin, but Lin never actually confessed anything. They aren't a couple yet, and if I remember correctly, Lin's brother is still fighting to help Lu. Lin is still fighting her feelings for Lu. I think this is a great progression, and it's nice to see Lin get a taste of her own medicine.

I would call this straight lazy- but for the right reasons. Their relationship turned more complex and Lin was jumpstarted after the reveal. There was clear progress and change.

Why call it lazy now? The more complex and organic route was COMPLETELY dropped and we suddenly got two new chars that clearly are only tools to rile up both MCs.
Lu then forgot all the chapters prior, head empty no thoughts, intentionally shown in this overexaggerated way in which she has to fully drop her relationship and feelings for Lin to 24/7 whip the newbie into shape and for everyone to do their job properly- which in itself would be no problem if not for the aforementioned.

That is pretty lame tbh. All this is solely to make them even and at the most questionable timing in their relationship possible (could've been some CRAZY writing but now we just get bait into self-destruct to speedrun and dogshit dynamics).
