just talking about development in general. And to be more specific, green boss girl just suddenly ask for her chance of redemption with the other, then they doing this freaky ah thing in front of everyone

Also the whole redemption arc already done, idk if author forget the reveal back then or not, that CEO girl be this way because Corba, well not just Corba because she said "again", but Corba sure the one give the final nail in the confine, that "people are as genius as you, so they be together" and she stuck with the mentality that people will leave her, unless they are as genius.
