I haven't searched out the raws, But I think it's quite likely that she is calling him "Danna-sama" which does literally translate to "Master" but can also mean "Husband" which probably is closer to what the author was going for. No shade to the translation team, I appreciate being able to read. Just a comment about a possibly confusing translation.

Personally I think the dude's behavior is incredibly weird, but maybe that's just me, apparently raising kids is too expensive in the dystopian country they live in, so hey, who am I to judge?
