I know this is mainly a comedy series but it feels like it took 30 chapters to see any kind of interesting development

Underwhelming i've managed to bear 10-15 chapters before skipping to ending. Did i lose anything by skipping? Not really. It's painfully obvious that she likes him and he likes her. Her affection towards him though isn't shown to him while his affection is more obvious than usual dense protagonists love interest or harem members.
I've skipped right to the point where her backstory is shown to us i.e. dramatic build up to end this lukewarm story.
Could this story go without this drama point? 100% it could. It wasn't logical nor normal in my case (subjective opinion) i think it even decreased the romantic build up due to her actions.

It's more shoujo than shounen that's for sure. A super elite guy who has a rather convenient flaw mostly around 1 girl and a girl who is more or less a hidden princes. She is dense and lacking in human emotions while the guy tries almost everything to show his affection towards her. Not sure what happened between chapter 15-64, but during 1-14 and 65-69 it was painfully obvious who was chasing like a fool and who was idling about not doing much.

Regarding the ending... What a bunch of unnecessary drama. Not even the usual kind where it's an actual plot point. It was literally brought out of nowhere and gone the next chapter. The ending felt rushed overall.

The plotline with Kishi-san's fiance made 0 sense. Why would the Kishis need an arranged marriage when Kiichiro, the owner of the supposedly huge conglomerate is right there. And at the end it's all thrown under the rug. The fact that Kishi herself just goes along with it is ridiculous too.

I think it's a fantastic story, but the ending left me with mixed feelings, it's not bad, but I wish they would actually stretch it out a bit, because it all feels abrupt and lacks the emotional impact I was waiting for.

Still, lovely manga. I forgot about it after it got licensed and just re-read the whole thing in a day and was left in a good mood overall.
