His parents just wants best for him, they are probably super rich CEOs, and wanted him to take over their businesses. They really care about him and want to give him everything, where he wanted to make it on his own. While they dont try to find him and convince him to come back, they are most likely just waiting for him to come back to them so they can help/give him everything.

Honestly, I genuinely can’t imagine someone deciding not to invite parents like that to your wedding. If the issue isn’t that they’re not good parents, but just that they love him so much, not inviting them to his wedding would actually genuinely be really cruel, and would hurt them a lot.

No, I reckon it’s gonna be something else. I reckon they might potentially be onmyoji or something like that. Or more likely they just had a normal falling out and while there was no abuse or anything, they haven’t talked in so long that it’s become way too awkward and both sides are too nervous to make the first step and initiate contact again.
