I agree with @annie3 - the notes are VERY distracting to me, to the point that it's difficult to concentrate on the author's words because the notes keep interrupting. Unless it's pertinent (explaining cultural reference or a joke that's lost in translation) I'd really prefer if the notes were footnotes instead.

Team scan notes! I said it before and I say that again, love to read the notes, it feels like I`m at the movies or reading with my friends. I don`t need to worry about my train of thought because this is not a masterpiece, I read this to have fun and the notes sometimes are way funnier.
