I am confused about what's happening.

They were invited to a Counts's ball where the demon hunters are supposed to gather. They thought demons are doing something suspicious and the Crystal Palace, which is the new casino that a demon (Belial?) has opened, right? They also think the Count is sus. Now, on the way to the Count's ball, they have decided to take a detour to crystal palace for investigation as they think them being humans will not be discovered.

Is this right? I feel like I am missing/wrong about something here.

So, are demons evil? They've said in the story that Erden's family has been protecting the border from them, and it's been implied a lot that they're evil, but this is like the third or so time we've seen demons acting like regular people. Yeah, the stone golems where invading the castle, as with the bugs, but there's even a town where humans and demons trade like it's no big deal... I'm super confused by world building in this story lol

I’m a bit confused as to what the plot is.

So there’s a ball for demon hunters, but since they’re afraid of being attacked (since they’ll all be at one place), they were planning to get to the palace in an inconspicuous manner (by infiltrating the village???????).
But now they’ve decided to infiltrate by using a different route, namely the Crystal Palace, which is also a casino for demons? Since they’ll blend in with the ‚people’ there?? (Idk if that meant if humans are going to be there???) Although the FL is a very obvious human?
And although they have to go out of their way to get to the Crystal Palace, including going to a pocket dimension under the lake, which doesn’t get them any closer to their destination???
And apparently the count is sus?
I’m sooooo confused.
