@AnonDePlume "So he goes out to confront a woman and she gets all huffy, but she goes out to eat with some guy and it’s totally fine? Why am I torturing myself with reading about this dysfunctional family?!"
At the beginning he falsely accuses her after what appears to be a Las Vegas style one-night stand marriage of being a swindling gold digging slut and left her. Of course he didn't know he impregnated her, but also he left her a home and an allowance which would seem like a payoff which in the eyes of most people it would seem to verify that he believes she's only a swindling gold digging slut and this should placate her. She seemed to have been discarded from her family, I assume this comes from two facts, one the male MC is credible in their eyes that when he made his accusation about her character, they sided with it, and also the beginning it made it seem they thought lowly of her anyway.
Then after he ditches the ex, he goes out and about supposedly acting like a player conquering women (technically while still legally married, because he nor she ever mentions that they ever divorced) which it appears he has this "playboy" reputation among many of the other members in this manga. Of course I could be very wrong about this since this is a translated work and I don't know the quality of the original source (though I fear it to be very accurate...).
Based on what I see this my opinion:
1) Why does she still love him? Other than he has wealth and looks (according to these women) he has no redeeming character. Heck to add insult to the situation he literally implied that she's an opportunity whore and he was trying to bribe her out of his life.
2) The kid seems to be smart, but why would he like or want to be around someone who treated the one person who has been there for him the most other than curiosity? I can forgive someone who mistreated me, but mistreat anyone who has my back would be someone I can't let slide.
3) He has mistreated and forsook his ex for a long time and he feels he has the right to drag her away from another guy when she's drunk and the other guy seemed to be looking out for her. I don't get the fact he expects her to fall in line after he abandoned her, literally accuses her of being an opportunistic scheming slut, and to be honest he wants to get back with her because he has a son... and not really because of her? Is it me or he seems awfully entitled?
I'm reading this because I've read this far into the trainwreck, and now I want to see if the author can salvage this series in somewhat of an impressive way and see how it ends. I don't think it can get any worse... but I may be wrong, the plot and development flaws are horrendous, but I'll still give the author credit, at least s/he is published, something most of us critics can't claim.
