Reading this translated as is, and putting in together the information I know about it from the raws of the next chapters—how their story unfolded truly breaks my heart 🥺 I know we're just one more chapter until the ending...
How this all unfolded made me think back to Chihiro and Kana and how, for a segment of the story that felt so random, it's actually a call back to the tragedy of Jiu and Yuzuki.
I'll most likely read this whole series again from beginning to end after the release of the final chapter! I want to see all the little details I may have missed. It's sort of feeling like everything is beginning to click back into place with the hidden subtleties —
Like how Hizuki says in this chapter that, "since Jiu doesn't have a mirror, this time I'll be his mirror." It pulls me back into that scene in Chapter 2 after the first case of Illegal MYTHER we've seen where the culprit saw his wife reflected in Kyo and my GOD.
It makes me think a little bit that—oh, actually I'll stop here since maybe the next things I'll be saying it a spoiler for chapter 19 (for those that want to read it but see my comment)
I'm looking forward to collecting all the volumes 🩷
